Synopsis The Crown Princess

Naval Lieutenant Dawin (Win) (Nadech Kugimiya) is a special forces marine officer, a man with deep faith in love who has pledged to himself that he will love only one woman and marry only once in his lifetimea promise made to his father, a high-ranking military officer, before he passed away. Dawin remains one of the most eligible bachelors, desired by many women, yet no one has managed to capture his heart. Despite his mother, Lady Saowanee (Areeya Sirisopa), trying to introduce him to seemingly perfect women, Dawin always finds flaws in each of them, leaving everyone wondering what his dream woman must be like to win over such a selective man.

Beyond his choosiness, Dawin is impeccably meticulous in his work. He loves his military career with all his heart and has never considered any other profession. Due to his determination and rigorous training, Dawin quickly rose to an important position as the leader of a special task force called D-Team, which specializes in top-secret operations, particularly protecting world-class VIPs including heads of state, kings, and royal family members when they visit Thailand.

D-Team consists of Dawin (team leader), Kan or "Big Brother Kan" (Nitichaii Yosamornsuntorn), the oldest team member and a quiet, sharp-shooting marksman who understands Dawin better than anyone; Ling (Nattapong Chartpong), an agile young officer skilled in hand-to-hand combat with a mischievous personality; Hin (Khunnarong Prathedrat), a large, muscular officer with expertise in all types of engines, who despite his handsome appearance, always fails when trying to woo women with his awkward flirting; and lastly, Danika or "Pan" (Raveewan Boonprachom), the only woman on the team and Dawin's cousin.

Danika is observant and detail-oriented, serving as the team's information hub. Dawin, Kan, Ling, Hin, and Pan form an elite protection team with outstanding achievements. No matter how dangerous or precarious the situation, Dawin can strategize and maximize his team members' potential. Due to their exceptional skills, Dawin has been assigned missions continuously, without any time off for several years... until today, when he will finally get a five-day vacation.

For these precious five days, Dawin hurriedly asks Kan to take him by boat to a remote island with no modern conveniences, only peaceful and beautiful nature. The navy once used this island for special forces training, which was Dawin's favorite period. Whenever he has free time, he often visits this island to revisit his training experiencesdeep diving, rock climbing, mountain running, or jungle survival. Dawin always enjoys returning to this action-packed lifestyle without interruptions. However, little does Dawin know that during this vacation, he will encounter unexpected chaosa disturbance that will travel across the sea to find him, a coincidence of fate that he never authored or could have anticipated.

On the other side of the distant horizon... lies Hrisoz, a small country hidden amidst beautiful natural surroundings. Hrisoz has been governed by a monarchy for centuries, with most citizens working in agriculture and gold being the main export. All citizens have long respected the king and royal family. But then... the unexpected happens when Princess Alice (Urassaya Sperbund), the newly appointed heir to the throne, is attacked while traveling to rest at the forest palace. The assailants strike without warning, but fortunately, Alice uses her well-trained combat skills to fight back and narrowly escape.

Alice rushes back to the palace and confronts Kathleen, or "Kath" (Sarah Legge), her cousin with whom she has had a contentious relationship since childhood. But Kath laughs in her face and claims ignorance, suggesting that Alice should think carefully because many people want her deadnot just Kath. Kath's retort stuns Alice... because it's true. Kath is the daughter of Uncle Prince Andre (Teeraphong Laeoririwong), who is now married to Mona (Sirinya Bishop), Alice's stepmother. They have a son together, Alan (Intuch Laeoririwong), who is Alice's half-brother.

Princess Alice, Princess Kath, and Prince Alan are closely related by blood but intensely dislike each other. Both Kath and Alan believe Alice is unfit for the position of heir apparent, the future Queen of Hrisoz, claiming she only received the title by flattering their grandfather, King Henry (Niroot Sirijanya), the current monarch. They think this way because they refuse to accept the truth... the truth that Prince Andre (Alice's uncle) is unsuitable as heir because he married his sister-in-law, even though his brother (Alice's father) had already passed away. Society still does not accept this union.

Princess Kath is deemed unsuitable because of her father's inappropriate behavior (a reason Kath violently rejects, causing her to secretly despise her father and stepmother). Prince Alan is considered unsuitable because of his parents' inappropriate relationship. Alan doesn't hate his parents but disagrees with them, and influenced by those around him, he has grown to dislike Alice despite their childhood closeness. Therefore, King Henry has determined that Alice is currently the most suitable candidate. Since receiving this position, Alice has been in danger with every step, not knowing who wants her deadPrince Andre (uncle), Mona (stepmother who is now married to her uncle), Princess Kath, or Prince Alan. All are suspects.

While Alice is confused and worried, the only one who comforts her is Will (Matthew Deane), a foreign prince and her prospective fiancé, whom King Henry has chosen because the two countries have long been closely connected. Will is a handsome, intelligent (somewhat cunning), sweet-talking prince who charms women around him. Alice appreciates Will's comfort, but deep down, she knows it's not love. Will is not the man she wants to entrust her life to. In fact, Alice has never even considered whether such a man exists in this worlda man she loves and trusts enough to entrust both her heart and life to. Such a man probably exists in another world, one she will never reach.

With many pressing matters at hand, Alice sets aside matters of the heart. Her primary focus now is to find her enemy and eliminate them before she herself is eliminated. After the incident, King Henry becomes increasingly concerned about Alice's safety and urges her to secretly rest in Thailand without telling anyone else. He contacts his dear friend General Sakchai to take care of her. At first, Alice absolutely refuses, not wanting to appear cowardly by fleeing from her enemies. But unable to resist her grandfather's pleas, she reluctantly agrees to secretly travel to Thailand. Only Petra (Chantanisa Wisawitanun) and Jacy (Parisa Jareonsettasin), her trusted female bodyguards who handle everything from protection and security to cooking, clothing, and close coordination with General Sakchai (Jakkrit Ammarat), accompany her.

General Sakchai is Dawin's direct superior, a retired soldier who still secretly oversees special operations units. Sakchai sends D-Team to protect Alice, but Dawin is not included as he is on vacation on the island and has strictly forbidden anyone from contacting him!

The General quickly informs King Henry, and both parties are concerned about Alice's safety but must accept her stubbornness. After being rejected by his subordinates, Sakchai regroups to deal with Alice's obstinacy and prepares a small private reception with only a few high-ranking military officers and leading businesspeople who wish to meet the future queen.

Before the reception begins, Petra and Jacy prepare a beautiful, luxurious haute couture evening gown for Alice, who looks incomparably elegant. But before she can showcase her splendor to the guests, the unexpected occursvillains have infiltrated unnoticed and audaciously kidnap Alice. In the blink of an eye, she is taken from her residence without a trace. The kidnappers take Alice onto a boat, intending to kill her and dump her body in the vast, remote sea. But Alice regains consciousness first and manages to escape with difficulty, hampered by her elaborate haute couture gown that entangles her limbs. Eventually, she jumps from the boat and escapes.

Alice's body spins through the sea, tossed by the waves. Then, as if someone in the heavens had drawn a lifeline, her body is washed ashore on the remote island where Dawin is vacationing. Good heavens! Dawin sees the figure of a young woman in an unusual, tattered evening gown, its haute couture status nearly unrecognizable. With a warrior's instinct, he rushes to help her with CPR and chest compressions. Thanks to his superb life-saving skills honed over years of training, Alice's unconscious body violently coughs up water. Alice awakens as if by miracle. As soon as her brain begins functioning, the last event remains stuck in her mind, causing her to think Dawin is one of the kidnappers. She gathers all her strength and forcefully slaps him across the face. Smack!

Dawin's face turns with the force of the slap, completely shocked. This is the first time in his life he has been slapped! Since birth, no woman has ever slapped him, and he would never allow it. But today, the woman whose life he saved has slapped his handsome face hard. Dawin is furious and cannot tolerate it. He grabs her, intending to restrain and question her before she can harm him further. But Alice misunderstands, thinking he means to hurt her, so she musters all her strength to kick, punch, bite, and do whatever she can to prevent Dawin from capturing her. The more she fights, the more determined he becomes to restrain her (this woman is truly dangerous!). Their clumsy struggle takes place on the beach until Dawin finally manages to capture Alice with his superior skills. Alice screams in frustration, "I won't surrender!"

Alice is tied up by Dawin, who sits her down for questioning. Realizing that Dawin is definitely not one of the kidnappers, she reveals the truth about being a princess. Dawin laughs and retorts, "What kind of princess would fall into the sea and wash up like this?" Alice tries to explain, but Dawin doesn't believe her until she becomes annoyed and sarcastically claims to be a mistress who was discovered by the main wife, who sent people to harm her, forcing her to flee for her life in disarray. Dawin readily believes this (really?) and even says, "I figured as much!" Alice is slightly confused but doesn't deny it because this belief leads Dawin to loosen the ropes and set her free. She therefore agrees to be a "mistress" (in his imagination) in exchange for her freedom.

As soon as she is released, Alice tries to find a way back to the mainland or seek help from other villagers. But she faces a painful truthshe cannot leave this island. There is no one on this island except Dawin!! This means she must stay on the island with this strange man whom she disliked from the first sight for two days and one night at minimum, waiting for Dawin's friend to pick them up! Alice nearly faints, thinking to herself, "Why must I be stranded on this particular island? Couldn't I have been stranded on another island with someone else?!" Meanwhile, Dawin thinks to himself, "She looks good, doesn't seem like the mistress type... what a shame."

Whether by fate written by someone in the heavens or by the unpredictable currents of the waves, Dawin and Alice have now met unexpectedly, and many more adventures await them.
